Czech National Breast Cancer Screening Programme
Breast cancer is the most common cancers affecting women. Every year in the Czech Republic, almost 8,000 new cases of breast cancer and around 1,700 deaths from breast cancer are reported. The possibilities of breast cancer prevention on the level of individual women are rather limited. Since a risk factor explaining the development of breast cancer with sufficient reliability has not been revealed yet, timely diagnosis and early treatment are the best options for fighting the disease.
